Put it on saleFairly confident

Take 15% off, not 20%

Sales have slowed and you're holding about 9 months of stock. 15% should be enough to get it moving. At 20% you give away more margin for about the same result.

What you'll find out

The questions every store owner ends up guessing at. Merser answers them from your own sales.

01

What should I put on sale?

The products that have stopped selling and are sitting in your stockroom with your money tied up in them.

02

How much should I take off?

The smallest discount that will actually move it. Most owners take off more than they need to.

03

What could I charge more for?

Your best sellers that sell fine at full price and could handle a price increase.

04

When should I leave it alone?

Sometimes the right answer is no sale at all. Merser will tell you that too.

How it decides

A sale brings in cash, but it costs you margin. Run too many and customers learn to wait for the next one. Merser keeps that in mind.

A sale only when it's worth it

It suggests a discount when a product is actually stuck, not just having a slow week. And it won't suggest another one right after your last sale ended.

Just enough off

It looks for the smallest discount that will move the stock, so you're not giving away margin you didn't need to.

A straight answer

Every suggestion tells you what to do, why, what you could make and what it could cost you. When there's nothing worth doing, it says so.

"Nothing worth doing right now. Leave your prices alone."

How the beta works

Nothing to install. It takes about five minutes.

  1. Share your Shopify data with us

Whichever is easier. Export your orders, products and inventory from your Shopify admin and send them over, leaving out customer details. Or add us as a staff member and we'll pull what we need ourselves.

  2. We send you a report

What to put on sale and how much to take off, what you could charge more for, and why.

  3. Tell us what you think

Did it tell you something you didn't already know? Was the information useful?

Free while we're in beta. We only look at your sales, products and stock, and we never change anything in your store.

Testing with a few select Shopify stores

Most owners decide prices and sales on gut feel. Merser gives you a clear answer from your own numbers, so you stop leaving money on the shelf.
